Shamrock Idiomas Ltda. is a translations company set up and run by Helen Conway, a professional from the United Kingdom who has been living in Chile since 2005. She and her team provide a high-quality translations service to a prestigious portfolio of clients that includes a number of Chilean government organizations, international organizations like UNESCO and a wide range of companies of all types, such as Enjoy, SQM, Consorcio, wineries such as Viña San Pedro Tarapacá, Undurraga, Montgras and de Martino and tea producer Cambiaso.

Helen Conway | General Manager
With a degree in Modern Languages and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, Helen’s 16-year UK career spanned marketing, public relations, administration and project management for a broad variety of employers. After moving to Chile in 2005, Helen set up Shamrock to offer a high-end translations service. Since then, she has worked full-time as a Spanish to English translator, specializing in marketing and PR for government, wine and food producers. She also writes articles about wine and food for her blog and is the sub-editor of of Around the World in 80 Harvests and South America Wine Guide. Helen recently became the 6th person in Chile to earn the prestigious WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits, considered to be an expert-level qualification in this area, meaning she is well able to tackle any text related to any aspect of the wine and spirits business.
Alexandra Balakireva | Administration Manager
Originally from Moscow, Alexandra has lived in Chile since 2011. Alexandra has a degree in Intercultural Communications and translates texts between Spanish and Russian. She runs Shamrock’s back office very efficiently, coordinating translation jobs to ensure they are delivered on time and taking care of invoicing.
